Acts of Mercy for December 2016--Family and Children's Services Giving Tree

December 7, 2016

“Acts of Mercy” – December, 2016

For over 113 years, Family & Children Services has been the voice of concern and compassion for our most vulnerable citizens. The Agency’s mission is embraced by a 22-member Board of Directors and staff of 200, who commit every day to being a source of hope for those they serve. Family & Children Services responds to each community and its changing needs, inviting community members to join them through donation and volunteer service.

The Agency offers a continuum of behavioral health and child welfare programs and services as one organization – board members, staff and foster parents – with a unity of purpose. All services are strength-based and client-centered, supporting individuals and families as they create healthy changes in their lives. Family & Children Services is dedicated to – and known for – best practices in human-service delivery in the community.

Through Kalamazoo’s Family and Children’s Services, Immanuel collects Christmas gifts and a “boxed” Christmas dinner for a designated needy family.  The goal is to provide a Christmas for a family that would otherwise have none.  We do this through “The Giving Tree” every year. Make sure you check out the tree in the Narthex and give a family a Christmas that they otherwise would not have.
